Do you have any questions about the holiday apartments, the animals or our activities?
Our FAQ answers frequently asked questions from our farm guests about their vacation at the Feinen holiday farm in Fleringen.
GENERAL
WELCHE FERIENWOHNUNGEN SIND FÜR HAUSTIERE GEEIGNET?
Pets are welcome holiday guests on our holiday farm and are allowed in the following holiday accommodations: Holiday house 1 & 2, Hedwig & Hubert, Haus Wiesengrund as well as holiday apartments 3 to 6, 8 and Gredi.
IS THERE A POSSIBILITY TO WASH YOUR LAUNDRY?
Yes, our holiday farm has a laundry room where you can clean and dry your laundry during your holiday on the farm.
The laundry room is located in the house of holiday apartments 3 to 6 and has a washing machine and a dryer - you can buy the respective brands in the farm shop for 3€ each.
ARE DAY VISITS TO HOLIDAY GUESTS ALLOWED?
Yes, one day a week (not several days), €20 per child, adults free of charge. Participation in the farm programs such as pizza baking and tractor rides, and use of the wellness area is not permitted.
CAN YOU VISIT THE HOLIDAY FARM AS A DAY GUEST?
No, visits to the holiday farm are only permitted in conjunction with overnight stays or day visits by holiday guests after consultation and payment of a fee (see previous question).
HOLIDAY APARTMENTS
HOW ARE THE HOLIDAY APARTMENTS EQUIPPED?
All holiday apartments at the Ferienhof Feinen are equipped with a freezer compartment in the refrigerator and an initial supply of toilet paper, garbage bags and, if necessary, dishwasher tablets. There is a laundry room on the farm for laundry (see FAQ General - Washing Laundry).
RIDING HOLIDAY
ARE HORSES & PONIES FREELY ACCESSIBLE TO ALL GUESTS?
Nein, die Gästen können mit unseren Pferden und Ponys nur in Verbindung mit Ausritten, geführten Spaziergängen, Reitstunden sowie unserem Pony- und Reiterclub interagieren.
DO I HAVE TO BRING MY OWN RIDING HELMET?
No, you do not have to bring your own riding helmet; we will be happy to provide one.
ARE THERE RIDING OR LONGE LESSONS?
Yes, our riding and lunge lessons can be booked in the office on the farm (office opening hours are posted) depending on capacity.
PETS
WHICH HOLIDAY APARTMENTS ARE SUITABLE FOR PETS?
Pets are welcome holiday guests on our holiday farm and are allowed in the following holiday accommodations: Holiday house 1 & 2, Hedwig & Hubert, Haus Wiesengrund as well as holiday apartments 3 to 6, 8 and Gredi.
CAN CATS BE BROUGHT ALSO?
Yes, but only in pet apartments.
CAN FARM CATS BE FED?
Our farm cat Poppy is welcome to be fed (please ask us, we will be happy to introduce her to you), all other farm cats are not allowed to be fed by guests themselves.
ACTIVITIES
WIE SIND DIE ÖFFNUNGSZEITEN DER VERSCHIEDENEN SCHEUNEN
The opening times of our barns are displayed at the entrances and we ask that you please adhere to them.
CAN YOU JUST BE WITH THE ALPACAS AND LLAMAS
GO FOR A STROLL?
Yes, but you must adhere to the opening hours for this activity.
ARE ALL ACTIVITIES ON THE FARM INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
No, some of our leisure activities are included in your farm holiday; those that require payment are displayed (with price) on our information board at the holiday farm.
DIE UMGEBUNG
ARE THERE HIKING MAPS?
Yes, our holiday guests can borrow various hiking maps in our farm office (please note opening hours).
ARE THERE RESTAURANTS NEARBY?
Yes, especially in the nearby towns of Prüm and Gerolstein there are
a large selection of different restaurants. You will also find a selection of restaurants and cafés recommended by us on our website under "Eifel Region".
ARE THERE FISHING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE AREA?
No, there are few to no fishing opportunities in the surrounding area.
